Catching up again before your wedding day…
Approx 4-6 weeks before your wedding day we will get back in touch to go over the finer details of your special day. Things like the timings of the day, who will be doing speeches and if you have anyone doing a reading in your ceremony and where you will be getting ready in the morning. We do all that we can to make your whole experience to be as effortless as possible on the day, so the more I can understand, the better…
On the day itself…
We generally use 3 / 4 cameras on the day allowing us to capture multi angles and different perspectives. We also use use discreet, high quality audio equipment to capture your ceremony & speeches. We are with you in the morning from the time we agree and finish up once we feel we have captured your day which tends to be after several dances once the party is rocking…
Delivery time and method…
Delivery time tends to be between 16 - 20 weeks depending on the season. We take a lot of care and pride when editing and are always looking to add our creative style to ensure you love what we produce for you. Please be patient as our experience shows, it is always worth the wait! We will update you on our progress and will let you know when you will be receiving a link to your personalised wedding gallery with access to all your wedding films. You will be able to view on your phone, ipad, laptop and to a Smart TV using the Vimeo link.

How can I view more of your wedding film examples?
We do have lots of wedding video samples on our website, www.bluejuicemedia.co.uk/wedding and you can also see examples on our social media channels ( Facebook & Instagram ).
How do I receive my film?
With USBs being used less and less, we have moved to an online delivery only format. Most of our couples this is the perfect solution. Instead of having to wait for your USB to arrive in the post you have access to your wedding gallery as soon as it is ready. Plus, if you have a smart TV you can watch your films on the big screen!
We deliver your films using Vimeo (password protected), totally digital, all for you to download and keep and share with anyone, anytime… However, for a small additional charge, we can also provide you with a usb in one of our presentation box’s if you wish.
Who films and edits the wedding film?
We are a small team of 3 soon to grow to 4, so it is just us. We are very proud and protective of how we both film and edit your wedding day and it is far too important for us to entrust it to people who don’t have the same vision and work ethos as ourselves and who are not 100% invested in you and your day.
How many people will be filming my wedding?
Every wedding is unique and very special and with so much happening on your special day, having two camera people provides a number of benefits and allows for a much more dynamic and complete wedding film. At many times in the day, 2 camera people are required… With two, we are able to film both bride and groom preparations, both photoshoot and guests relaxing, and generally being in two places at one time provides a much more complete picture of your wedding day. It also allows us to use our full range of equipment for capturing those truly cinematic shots. The ceremony, speeches and dancing sections of the day are filmed from multiple angles for a more polished final edit.
How long before I receive my finished wedding film?
We spend a considerable amount of time in the editing and post-production phases of creating your wedding film. We also film the bulk of our weddings during the May to September period so it’s easy to build up a considerable backlog of work. So we do quote turnaround times anywhere between 16 and 20 weeks, depending on the time of year. It can sometimes be slightly longer during peak wedding season, but rest assured it will be worth the wait…
Do you charge for travel and where will you travel to?
If your wedding is in mainland Scotland then there is no charge for mileage. We’ve traveled widely over the years and we’re happy to travel all over the UK and Internationally. Travel costs do apply for weddings outside of Scotland.
Do you offer aerial drone footage?
Yes, most of our films include this where weather conditions and location allow. We're fully insured and are fully licensed to fly. Checkout our packages for more details.
"Wedding Video" and "Wedding Films". I'm confused, what's the difference?
Wedding Video is such a 90's and 00's term, what we do now is far removed from the "Wedding Video" of old. State of the art equipment, cinematic movement and composition, film industry standard colour grading, storytelling editing skills, all of this makes the use of the phrase "wedding film" fully justified and far more accurate for what we create!
What kind of gear do you use?
Gear? Just know that we’ve got all the gear we need to tell your wedding story! Cameras, lenses, stabilisation, audio and lighting, but... not so much that your wedding becomes a film-set. Remember our approach is to be discreet, and that follows through with the gear we use.
Suffice to say we use Canon cameras and highest quality fast lenses which enable us to perfectly blend in and capture fabulous relaxed and natural footage. We also use a range of camera movement and stabilisation equipment to get that real cinematic look. Sound? Well that is every bit as important as the picture, so rest assured we use a range of on-camera, fixed position and remote sound recorders to capture crystal clear audio whenever it is needed.
Can I tweak my package?
Our wedding packages are merely suggestions and are entirely flexible. So feel free to ask about creating a totally bespoke wedding package that will suit your needs perfectly.
Do you cover more than one one wedding per day?
On rare occasions we do! We have a number of carefully picked, exceptional videographers who help shoot weddings with both Harry and I when we already booked for a particular date. So, you will always have one if not both of us at your wedding.
